Another sunny, hot, humid day. I rode with a group of six riders and we pedaled a relaxed, steady day.
Southern Ontario has long been home to Canada’s tobacco farms. We did see a few tobacco fields but with smoking becoming less common, the locals are telling us that farmers are turning to other crops such as ginseng which is becoming a popular additive to bottled teas and other beverages. We had been wondering what that crop was under the black netting.
Our destination was Niagara Falls NY but the view of the falls is actually better from the Canadian side. We stopped for an hour or so to take some photos and walk around a bit amid throngs of tourists from all over the world. The place was jam packed on a Sunday afternoon.
We then headed over the Rainbow Bridge to the U.S. side and checked into our hotel for the night.
