I believe I heard a loud cheer in the halls of St. Jude. Thanks to a number of caring and generous people I’m fortunate enough to know, we’ve raised over $7,000 for the St. Jude kids in one week. Thank you one and all !!
If you would be so kind, please e-mail this ride website to friends and family who may be interested in supporting St. Jude and tracking some balding (OK bald) “middle age” dude as he pedals his way across the country. Will he make it or won’t he ?
The training is complete now, with over 4700 miles since Christmas and 10 century rides in. I’ve trained as well as I can given the relatively flat local terrain. The ride bicycle has been crated up and shipped to Astoria Oregon. Now to get things fully in order on the home front and finish packing before catching the flight to Portland on Friday morning.
There will be 30 riders for this year’s cross country tour from all across the U.S. and judging by the e-mails flying back and forth now, they are lively and ready to go. I’m looking forward to meeting them all. The long term forecast for Oregon weather next week is sunny and warm. So far – so good.
Let’s get this show on the road !
